Max60 refers to a cricket tournament that is played in the T10 format. The tournament is slated to be held in 2024 at the Cayman Islands and at Bahamas in 2025. It is set to feature league teams comprising of active players, retired players, and emerging players from the Caribbean region.
Since a T10 format will be followed, each team can bat for a maximum of 10 overs. Each innings lasts for 45-minutes, with a 10-minute break between the innings. The first two overs of an innings are mandatory powerplay overs where no more than two fielders can stand outside the thirty yard circle. The batting side can opt for one more over of powerplay between overs three to nine.
A bowler can bowl a maximum of two overs. The batting side can opt for a strategic timeout of 2 minutes once in each innings. The team scoring the most runs at the end of both innings wins the match. In case of a tie, a super over determines the winner of the match.
The first edition will see five teams face each other across eight days in a total of 24 scheduled matches. The league stage will be played in a double round-robin format. This will be followed by the knockout rounds. The field participating teams are Miami Lions, New York Strikers, Caribbean Giants, Boca Raton Trailblazers, Grand Cayman Stingrays.
All matches of the 2024 edition of the tournament will be held at the Jimmy Powell Oval. The Max60 will be broadcasted in Europe, and all major test-playing nations in Asia.
