The Jasmin Open is a WTA 250 event on the women’s professional tennis circuit that was first held in 2022. It is held in Monastir, Tunisia and is played on outdoor hard courts.
The Jasmin Open hosts a singles and a doubles tournament. Both events are played such that 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams are placed in a single elimination main draw in their respective categories. In singles, a qualifying draw of 24 players is also contested, out of which four players make it to the main draw.
Every match in the tournament is played in the best of three sets format. A player or a team who is first to two sets wins the match. A set is won when six games are won with a difference of two. If the set score is 6-6, then a seven-point tiebreak decides the winner of the set. The first to seven points with a difference of two thus claims the set. A third set in doubles is played as a ten-point tiebreak, where the team that first wins ten points with a lead of two points is the winner of the match.
Winners of both the singles and doubles competition receive 250 ranking points whereas the runners-up bag 163 points. As of 2024, the prize pool of the tournament is $267,082, of which, the singles and doubles champion are rewarded with $35,250 and $12,820 respectively.
Belgium’s Elise Mertens won the first two editions of the tournament in the singles category. Mertens dropped only five games in total from both the finals. In doubles, no player has won the title twice in the first three editions.
