The Pakistan Women’s One Day Cup is a domestic 50-over competition in Pakistan. The tournament has been held since 2017 and paves the way for Pakistani women to make it to the national side.
The participating teams in the earlier editions of the tournament were Challengers, Dynamites, and Blasters. A team called Strikers was added in 2022, before being removed for the next edition and later getting reinstated in the 2024 edition. Currently, the participating teams are Stars, Strikers, Conquerors, Invincibles, and Challengers.
Each team features a squad of sixteen players, coaches by an icon mentor from the men’s game. The tournament employs a double round-robin format where each team plays the other twice. A team earns two points for a match win, one point in cases of a tie or a drawn or an abandoned match, and no points for a loss. At the end of this stage, the top two teams of the table contest the final. The net run-rate acts as a tiebreaker between teams who have the same number of points.
The total prize pool for the 50-over competition is 3.3 million Pakistan rupees. Champions and runners-up get 1.5 million and 1 million rupees each. The Dynamites have been the most successful side of the tournament, winning four titles ahead of the 2024 edition. Blasters and Challengers have won one title each.
Due to poor archival of the records and the lack of an online presence for cumulative statistics on the internet, there is no definite source to bank upon to determine the highest run-scorer and the leading wicket-taker of the Pakistan Women’s One Day Cup.
