The Frank Worrell Trophy is a cricket competition contested between West Indies and Australia. It was first held in 1960-61 and was named after Frank Worrell who was the first black captain of West Indies.
The most notable aspect of the Frank Worrell Trophy was the result of the first ever match of the competition. It ended in a tie and was the first tied match in the history of test cricket. The trophy that is awarded to the winning side bears the ball from the tied test match.
Unlike other bilateral series which is organized by the cricketing boards of the respective nations, the Frank Worrell Trophy is administered by the International Cricket Council. Out of the 105 test matches played, Australia have won 50, whereas West Indies have won 31. Three series and 24 matches have ended in a draw.
