Super50 refers to the List A competition of the West Indies. This domestic competition began in 1972-73 and has been contested between Caribbean teams. The current competing teams are Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies Academy, and Combined Campuses and Colleges Cricket Team.
The tournament consists of a group stage followed by the knockout stage. The group stage is played in a round-robin format where each team plays the other. Teams get four points for a win, two points for no result and no points for a loss. In addition to these, a team’s performance in batting, bowling and fielding at various stages of the innings also determine how many bonus points they can fetch.
