The Almaty Open features events in both the singles and doubles categories. Played in indoor hard court conditions, both events are played in the single elimination knockout draw format. The main draw size for the singles draw is 28 and for the doubles draw is 16. In singles, before the main draw a qualifying draw of 16 is played, out of which, four make it to the main draw.
