What is the United Pickleball Association of America?

The United Pickleball Association of America is a leading governing body of the sport. It initially began as the United Pickleball Association with the sole aim to govern the Major League Pickleball and Professional Pickleball Association. However, it’s recent expansion has led to its stature risen as one of the governing bodies of the sport, thereby renaming itself to the United Pickleball Association of America.

The primary objective of this organization is to contest pickleball events at a global stage and promote the competitiveness of the game. It also has an advisory committee for pickleball equipment to ensure rigorous standards are followed. This initiative is in collaboration with Pickle Pro Labs.

Tournaments organized by the United Pickleball Association of America feature the world’s Top 150 players who participate in different tiers of events. One of its highlights is the UPA International Championship series that is all set to begin in 2025. The events are spread across globally, featuring countries like India, Australia, Canada, and selected sections of Asia and Europe as tournament organizers.

The current motto of the United Pickleball Association of America is to protect, grow, and champion the sport of pickleball. The organization claims that along with United Pickleball Association and Pickleball Inc., they have been the most proactive in vigorously contributing towards the growth of the sport.

While the United Pickleball Association of America does sanction leading tournaments of the world, the USA Pickleball has the final say in deciding the scoring formats and rules and regulations that must be followed in professional events.
