The Lalitpur Mayor Women’s Cup is a T20 tournament held in Nepal. It is funded by the Lalitpur Metropolitan City and has been held since 2021. The tournament is organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal.
A total of five teams compete in the tournament. Four of these teams are those that reach the playoffs of the Prime Minister’s Cup Women’s National Cricket Tournament. A fifth team is Lalitpur Mayor’s XI, the members of which are top-performing players from those teams who did not reach the playoffs of the Prime Minister’s Cup Women’s National Cricket Tournament.
Each team plays the other in a round-robin format. A win is worth two points, whereas a tied or cancelled match is worth one point. No points are reduced for a loss. If two teams are tied at the same number of points, then the better side is decided based on the net run-rate. The top two teams at the end of the round-robin stage qualify for the final.
As of 2024, the APF Club has won every edition of the event. The Sudurpaschim Province has reached three of the four finals till date. The highest run-scorer in the tournament is Sita Rana Magar with 628 runs to her name. Kritika Marasini is the leading wicket-taker with 26 to her name. Rubina Chhetry has been the top run-scorer in two editions of the event. No bowler has been named the highest wicket-taker in two editions. Sita Rana Magar has been named the player of the tournament in three of the four Lalitpur Mayor Women’s Cup held.
